POLICE: Speed Believed to be a Factor in Deadly Crash

POCONO TOWNSHIP — One man is dead after a late night crash in Monroe County. Police said Kenneth Kehler, 36, of Albrightsville, died after he lost control and hit a tree off of Golden Slipper Road in Pocono Township, near Bartonsville, just after 10:00 p.m. Authorities believe speed was a factor in the deadly crash.

Crash Slows Traffic in Part of Poconos

POCONO TOWNSHIP — A wreck in Monroe County slowed traffic near Tannersville. A vehicle ended up nose down in a drainage ditch along Route 611 near Tannersville around 9:45 a.m. Tuesday. Pocono Township police say the southbound lane of Route 611 was closed for a time, but cars were still able to get by. Authorities say the driver suffered minor injuries in the crash.

POCONO TOWNSHIP — A man held police at bay for a few hours early Sunday morning in Monroe County. Officers say they were called to a home in the Laurel Lake Development near Bartonsville for a domestic disturbance. A woman told officers she was assaulted by John Daley, 39. When police tried to get Daley to come out, he refused. Officers arrested Daley around 6:30 in the morning. He’s facing kidnapping, assault and other charges in Monroe County.
